Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try
To fix you.

Giver of life.

The irony of playing the zero-sum game with God is that the zero-sum game assumes the players will pick themselves over the other to ensure survival.

God, on the other hand, plays this game specifically to lose on the Cross and ensure our survival, hence rendering the assumption and, by extension, the entire zero-sum game moot.

This is how the Giver of Life works: With full abandonment, with complete trust, that we will reciprocate. And when we do, we make His heart sing. Death is no longer the end, but it is a means to an end with means so much more.

Whose system do you prefer?

Something greater to look to.

1 Corinthians 2

1 And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did
not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the
testimony about God.[a] 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with
you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness
with great fear and trembling. 4 My message and my preaching were not
with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s
power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s
power.

To you.

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind but now, I see.

T'was grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed...

My chains are gone, I've been set free
My God my Saviour, has ransomed me
And like a flood, His mercy reigns
Unending love, amazing grace.

Amazing Grace (Bridge by Chris Tomlin)

Every birthday, I send a prayer up wishing this song would one day be on your lips and in your heart, that you might truly know and experience how amazing God's grace is.

Freudian slips and halting lisps

Do not a leader make.

1 Corinthians 1:27-29

New International Version (NIV)
27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him.
